All of Norham descended on Monkton Stadium for a fun filled day of sporting activity. Staff and pupils joined in with rounders, athletics, dodgeball, volleyball and football to make it a fantastic day out. Thanks to our PE Department for all the hard work in organising this event.
Activities Day 2019 saw Year 8 going to Broomley Grange for a action packed day of outdoor pursuits which included the high log walk, Jacobs ladder, an assault course and they also got the chance of shooting an air rifle.
Year 8 pupils visited Beamish Museum in preparation for their English work in year 9. The pupils participated in lots of different activities and got to see just how the world worked and lived throughout the different eras.
Yr 11 celebrated their Prom at The Village Hotel on Friday 5th July.

Year 7 joined Yr8 pupils from Churchill to look at the resources supplied by North Shields Library and research Victor Mercer who lived in the area and signed up to the war effort at the age of 16 1/2. We were lucky enough to find out all about him and then meet his 96 year old nephew Harold Mercer who had been in the RAF during WW2 - 96 years old and such a lovely gentleman.
Yr7 pupils were loving the chance to learn how to stay safe in the sea, learn what each flying flag indicated and what to do in an emergency during a morning at Tynemouth Longsands. The pupils then slid into their wet-suits and had a fantastic time in the sea lifesaving and surfing..
